I stumbled across this forum randomly and knew I had to register.
I find FMV games to be fascinating, particularly DVD games, a platform I'm collecting for and trying to find games that really try to push the boundaries of the platform.
Other FMV games I enjoy are Twisted on 3DO and Road Avenger for Mega CD.
So yeah... hi!

Hi! Welcome to the boards! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, I'm always happy to see a new face!
Edit: I've checked our list of FMV games and I didn't see the two games you've mentioned. Maybe they could be worthy additions?

Welcome to the boards, Cobra! Road Avenger for Mega CD is one of our all-time favorites! We also love interactive DVD games. We have a list of DVD games, but I'm sure we're missing some. Please let us know if you have any in your collection you think we should add

does the return of haunted hill counts then. probably the only movie release eons ago on bluray to have a 'Navigation cinema' feature that lets you play the movie like a choose your own adventure feature. don't think it was ever repeated since. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wG0DOV7w5w

Isn't it a bit like Bandersnatch?

I played that one years ago and it's really great quality. It's one of the few major studio releases that actually shot extra on-set footage for the interactive blu-ray. We have it listed here on our site, but it's not in the DVD section because I believe it was a blu-ray-only feature. It's listed under interactive blu-ray releases along with Liar's Dice. Are there any more interactive blu-rays besides those two?

Very cool! Downloading right now :-) I'd also very much like to make a FMV game, for Blu-ray. Have various ideas, also for non-game projects, such as a virtual walk in nature. I would want to film with 3 cameras, to make it possible for the viewer to change angle realtime. Straight ahead or left or right. And when everytime the path splits in two or three, the viewer should choose which way to go. Lots of ideas, but never any time.
