I absolutely loved this game! I was a fan of the first one, and Fan Shi's only gone and built on it and improved on it. His (and the rest of the cast's) sense of humour is great. One of my favourite things about Visitor 1 was the horrible, greasy landlord Mr. Miáo - or Mr. Miǎo ("one second") as the neighbours called him - played by Fan Shi himself. It takes a special sort of creator to cast himself as the worst character, with a ratty wig and several days' stubble and all. And he and the wig are back in this one, as another brilliantly awful person...
There's a couple of jokes similar to Miáo/Miǎo in this one that don't really translate - I started learning Chinese recently and my Chinese friends have since told me "green" or "green hat" has a particular significance that I didn't pick up on in the game. But while sometimes the translation is a bit clunky or literal, it's clear to understand, and the acting is so balls-to-the-wall camp and over the top that it's obvious what the actors are talking about!
It's quite similar to Contradiction in both the feel and humour of it, and the gameplay. I'd recommend it to anyone, but to fans of that especially.

Very similar gameplay - you progress by combining clues (whether objects in evidence, or clips of characters' testimonies) that contradict each other, and the detectives then interrogate the relevant character about it. There's three detectives: Li, a young female rookie cop who's eager to solve the case; Liaoqiang, an grumpy, schlubby gumshoe; and Lan, a celebrity detective who's always giving press conferences and is very full of himself. They all take the piss out of each other along the way, it's great fun!
